Transition Area Conduct: Glass Containers
This week’s rule is the final in our series on transition conduct.
Article 7.5 — Glass Containers prohibits participants from bringing a glass container into the transition area. The reasoning behind the rule is to prevent injuries from broken glass in transition areas, which are often hard paved surfaces. Broken glass in transition areas can also cause flat tires, thus ruining someone’s day.
The penalty for glass in transition is disqualification due to safety concerns.
Here’s the rule:
7.5 Glass Containers.
Any participant who brings any glass container into the transition area shall be disqualified.
