What drove you to the multisport lifestyle? Three children in middle school and a dare

Personal: I have been married for 40 years to Richard; we have four grown children and six grandchildren. Multisport grounded me as we moved through the corporate ladder, changing residences every few years. Through multisport I began to recognize my own individual identity as more than the wife of a corporate executive. When I'm not training or tending to National Board duties, I am working with Team CWW, a 500-member women's multisport organization, now in its 13th year. I also spend a lot of time going door-to-door to fill up our women's novice Duathlon.

Athletic Accomplishments: Climbed Mt. Rainier; three-time Team Race Across America finisher; senior women's record holder and overall team winner in 2008; inaugural team member for Race Across the West 2010; 8 marathons; 3 Hawaii Ironman triathlons; 1 Ironman-distance event in Israel; Perennial member of Team USA in Duathlon and triathlon; Gold in ITU World Triathlon in 2002, silver in ITU World Duathlon 2007; bronze in ITU World Duathlon in Alpharetta; National Duathlon Champion 2004; Grand Masters Duathlete of the Year 2004

Athletic Background: Pre-Title IX, I played tennis until I discovered running and multisport
