Deadline Extended for 2013!

The USA Triathlon Women's Committee is focused on creating a resource for female athletes of all levels and socio-economic backgrounds by mentoring professional growth for women in the sport of triathlon. The Women's Committee is concentrating on the quality of training as well as opportunities available for women in positions of authority and decision-making within associations that govern the sport. 

The Women's Committee will be distributing TWO matching, reimbursable $1500 grants to support programs that are directly involved with women in the sport of triathlon.

Deadline Extended: Women's Committee Now Offering Grants
The USA Triathlon Women's Committee provided an opportunity to USA Triathlon certified clubs to apply for three matching, reimbursable $1,500 grants. Deadline for submittal was May 2, 2011, and recipients were notified by May 9.

Women's Committe to Host Free Swim Clinic in Tuscaloosa
The USA Triathlon Women’s Committee hosted a free swimming clinic on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 for residents of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and its surrounding communities in conjunction with the 2010 USA Triathlon Elite, Age Group and Sprint National Championships.

Harrington to Chair USA Triathlon Women's Committee
USA Triathlon announced that Awilda Harrington, a knowledgeable businesswoman and experienced member of several boards and associations, recently was named chairperson of the USA Triathlon Women’s Committee.
