USA Triathlon is governed by the Board of Directors, which has general charge of the business affairs and activities of the organization and defines the policies to be followed in carrying out the purposes of the organization as set in the bylaws. All members of the Board must be current annual USA Triathlon members.
Leadership is also provided by boards on the regional level and various assigned committees and commissions.Bylaws
Under ARTICLE XXI of the USA Triathlon Bylaws, sections of the Bylaws may be amended by vote of the Board of Directors. Any such resolution to amend the bylaws by vote of the Board of Directors shall be posted on the USA Triathlon website with a prominent link from the home page for a period of not less than 30 days prior to being voted upon.
Financial Information
The USA Triathlon financial statements have been posted to help our membership understand the financial activities of the organization. The financial statements posted are two-year comparison statements that include the Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Activities and Net Changes.
Also included are the USA Triathlon Form 990 Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax. The returns are submitted to the Internal Revenue Service on an annual basis. USA Triathlon annual elections are conducted in accordance with Article XXI of USA Triathlon's bylaws. Complete details on the nomination process, candidate platforms, and other items up for vote on the ballot are documented each year.

Annual Reports
If there is a single take-away from reading the USAT Annual Report, it would be that the multisport lifestyle is a vibrant, passionate, and growing segment of our society. More individuals are participating in the many disciplines of the sport and at a variety of distances than ever before.
