PARATRIATHLON PROGRAM MANAGER
Hometown: San Antonio, Texas
College degrees: Bachelor’s in Sport Management and Business Administration from Adams State College (Alamosa, Colo.); Master’s in Sport Management from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
When did you start at USAT: June, 2008
Roles and responsibilities: I oversee the growth and development of our Paratriathlon high performance program and are specifically gearing up for the 2016 Rio de Janiero Paralympic Games.
Favorite part about USAT: I am a people-person and love interacting with the paratriathletes. I love hearing their stories and watching them on their athletic journey to become one of the world's best paratriathletes.
What keeps you busy in your free time: I am a recreational marathon runner and a competitive soccer player.
Favorite career moment: My favorite sports moment was being in attendance at the 1999 Women’s World Cup soccer final and watching the USA women’s national team win the World Cup off a penalty kick shoot out. This was the moment I knew that I wanted to work in sports. What an empowering moment for women in sports.
