Triathlon Career: Member of the 2012 USA Paratriathlon National Team • Finished second in the TRI-3 category at the 2012 ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Auckland • Winner of the women’s TRI-3 title at the 2012 USA Paratriathlon National Championship in Austin, Texas • TRI-3 silver medalist at the 2011 ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Beijing, China • Winner of the TRI-3 national title at the 2011 Accenture USA Paratriathlon National Championship in New York City • Also won the 2008 U.S. and world titles.
Athletic background: Active in cycling, swimming, softball and weight training since childhood • Always stayed fit, but after being diagnosed with MS in 1998, decided to pursue her dream of competing in triathlon • Participated in several of the MS 150 Bike Tours and other organized cycling events.
