Elite Triathlon Career: Recorded podium finishes at the Cartagena (second) and Lima (third) ITU Pan American Cups in 2011 • Also placed 10th in Valparaiso and ninth in Salinas in 2011 • Finished 18th at 2010 USA Triathlon Elite Nationals in Tuscaloosa, Ala. • Was 16th in his ITU Pan American Cup debut in Mazatlan in 2010.
Amateur Triathlon Career: Was the overall winner at the 2009 USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship in Tuscaloosa, Ala. • Also recorded 2009 wins at the Wilkes-Barre Triathlon, Sunset Triathlon, Killington Triathlon and Hammonton Triathlon.
Athletic Background: Was a four-year varsity swimmer at Boston College and was voted team captain for the 2007-08 Season • In high school, won 12 varsity letters in cross country, swimming, track and field and tennis and was a first-team league all-star six times • While at Boston College received the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Top-6 for Service Award in 2008 and was named the ACC All-Academic Team in 2007 and 2008.
