2013 Highlights: Placed sixth at the Sarasota ITU Pan American Cup on March 16 and was 12^th at the March 9 Clermont Sprint Pan American Cup.

Elite Triathlon Career: Placed third at 2012 USA Triathlon Elite Nationals in Buffalo, N.Y. • Finished third at the 2012 Kelowna ITU Premium Pan American Cup for his fourth career Pan American Cup podium finish • Made ITU World Triathlon Series debut at the 2012 Dextro Energy World Triathlon Hamburg, placing 54th • Placed 11th in the first semifinal of the 2012 Tiszaujvaros ITU World Cup • Was 13th at the 2012 Holten ITU Premium European Cup • Finished third at the 2012 Dallas ITU Pan American Cup • Recorded podium finishes at the Cartagena (second) and Lima (third) ITU Pan American Cups in 2011 • Also placed 10th in Valparaiso and ninth in Salinas in 2011 • Finished 18th at 2010 USA Triathlon Elite Nationals in Tuscaloosa, Ala. • Was 16th in his ITU Pan American Cup debut in Mazatlan in 2010.

Amateur Triathlon Career: Was the overall winner at the 2009 USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship in Tuscaloosa, Ala. • Also recorded 2009 wins at the Wilkes-Barre Triathlon, Sunset Triathlon, Killington Triathlon and Hammonton Triathlon.

Athletic Background: Was a four-year varsity swimmer at Boston College and was voted team captain for the 2007-08 Season • In high school, won 12 varsity letters in cross country, swimming, track and field and tennis and was a first-team league all-star six times • While at Boston College received the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Top-6 for Service Award in 2008 and was named the ACC All-Academic Team in 2007 and 2008.

Parents are Joe and Mary Maloy • Younger brother John Maloy also swam at Boston College, setting 11 school records • Earned a B.A. in English in 2008 from Boston College and an M.S. in administration in 2010 • Grew up lifeguarding during the summers along the Jersey Shore, so swimming and running were always a part of his life • First triathlon was the Belleplain Sprint Triathlon in 2008.
