Athletic Background: Member of the 2004 and 2008 U.S. Paralympic Swimming Team • Earned a silver medal in the 100 butterfly at the 2006 World Championships in Durban, South Africa • Member of the Cal Poly varsity swimming team • Played soccer, baseball and swam before his left was amputated at age 14 after being diagnosed with cancer.
