Member of the 2012 USA Paratriathlon National Team • Two-time TRI-2 national champion, winning the USA Paratriathlon National Championship title in 2010 and 2012 • First triathlon was the 2010 Wildflower Triathlon.

Athletic Background:
Member of the 2004 and 2008 U.S. Paralympic Swimming Team • Earned a silver medal in the 100 butterfly at the 2006 World Championships in Durban, South Africa • Member of the Cal Poly varsity swimming team • Played soccer, baseball and swam before his left was amputated at age 14 after being diagnosed with cancer.

Personal: Parents are Bradd and Cindie Barr • Has two older brothers, Paul and Todd • Married Chelsea Golliher in June 2012 • Got involved with triathlon after his collegiate swimming career • Started cycling in preparation for a Challenged Athletes Foundation ride from San Francisco to San Diego and was introduced to running by his now wife, Chelsea.
