Triathlon Career: Member of the 2011 USA Paratriathlon National Team • Silver medalist at the ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Beijing, China, on Sept. 9 • Part of a U.S. sweep of the TRI-2 podium • TRI-2 winner at the elite paratriathlon event held in conjunction with the London ITU World Championship Series event on Aug. 7.
I'm the first woman on an artificial leg to complete the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii (2005). I have raced in over 40 triathlons, including the ITU world championships in 2003 & 2007.
Athletic background: I began as a runner, first as a track athlete, racing on the U.S. Disabled Track tream for 7 years including the 1992 Paralympic games in Barcelona, Spain. After 5 marathons I finally dived into the world of triathlon and haven't stopped since.
