Elite Triathlon Career: 2010 USA Triathlon Rookie of the Year • Winner of the 2010 Ixtapa ITU Pan American Cup • Finished fourth at the 2011 Troutbeck ITU African Cup and fifth at the 2011 Pretoria-Tshwane ITU African Cup • Placed eighth at the 2012 ITU Elite Duathlon World Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Amateur Triathlon Career: Finished second overall at 2009 USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals and won the 25-29 age-group title.

Athletic Background: Six-time All-America selection in cross country and track at Indiana University • Won the mile at the 2004 NCAA Indoor National Championships in 4:00:16 • Won the 2005 Meyo Mile in an IU record 3:56.4 • In that race, Sean and his twin brother John became the first set of twins and American-born brothers to break 4 minutes for the mile in the same race.
