Mission Statement
The mission of the North East Collegiate Triathlon Conference (NECTC) is to promote triathlon to collegiate athletes in the region for the growth and development of the sport. The conference aims to develop a community that is both competitive and fun. The competition is both an individual and a team competition to bring experienced and novice triathletes together. The goal is to constantly bring in new athletes into a competitive environment using the ephemeral nature of collegiate sports and team competition. The conference is designed to bring in triathletes with various backgrounds, including people that have never races, provide an environment that is competitive and promotes development. The conference, as a community of collegiate triathletes, will bring forth an opportunity and encourage individuals to become elite athletes and/or to build leadership skills revolved around the sport.
