USA Triathlon is pleased to announce the launch of the Club Leadership Webinar Series, a multisport club education program that will share the best practices of official USAT clubs from across the nation. The Club Leadership Webinar Series will launch its first webinar on June 14, 2012; followed by a webinar each month until December 2012. The Series will introduce webinar topics such as non-profit vs. for profit, marketing, sponsorships, youth participation as well as Paratriathlon involvement.
Each webinar will be 50 minutes with 10 minutes for Q & A with the presenters. Clubs administrators, coaches and race directors will pay $14.99 to view the webinar. USAT Certified Coaches and Race Directors who wish to earn 1 CEU for this webinar must purchase the webinar and then complete the corresponding webinar exam. Those that wish to earn CEU credit would purchase the webinar exam for $9.99 for a total of $24.98; this total cost includes viewing of the webinar and 1 CEU credit.

Topic: For Profit vs. Non- Profit For-Profit vs. Nonprofit: What is the right corporation type for your needs? Learn the fundamental differences between business entity types and how to identify if starting a nonprofit corporation is the correct business decision. We will explore what separates for-profit corporations from nonprofit corporations, the advantages and disadvantages of each and how you start the filling process. We will also look at fiscal sponsorship, an underused option that allows a program to take advantage of the benefits of an existing tax-exempt organization.
