Program

One USAT Coaching Business Innovation Retreat is slated for the fall of 2014 and will strengthen coaches’ entrepreneurial tool kit and program development practices to give them staying power in a growing sports industry. This two day event (held November 6 & 7, 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO) will serve as a strategic business function and will include:

  • Presentations and Discussions Led by Triathlon-Specific Business Innovators
  • Collaborative Team Challenges
  • One-on-one Consultation Opportunities
  • Lunch & Learns: Business Plan Roundtable Discussions
  • Pre-event Webinar and SWOT Analysis Workbook
  • CBIR Manual (including 7 chapters written specifically for the CBIR by triathlon business leaders)

Application Process

Space is limited to 24 USAT-currently certified coaches per retreat. In order to be considered for the Coaching Business Innovation Retreat, coaches must complete an online application and attach a coaching resume. The fee to participate in this program is $550; those accepted into the program will be provided a registration link to complete registration. Should applicants not choose to register within one week of being accepted, their slots will be offered to registrants on the wait list.

Priority for this program is given to USAT certified coaches in the following order:

  1. Level III coach
  2. Level II coach
  3. Level I coach
Applications are currently being accepted for the Colorado Springs (November 6 & 7, 2014) retreat.

Additional Information

No certification will be involved in this programming; however, participants will receive a certificate of completion and 8 USAT Approved CEU’s. They will also be invited to participate in an online private discussion forum after the retreat which will offer additional support/resource-sharing among attendees.

Registration fee does not include lunch costs or hotel/airfare fees. Snacks, beverages, and resource materials will be provided.
