2. 2009 in Review (Tara)
          a) USAT has changed its format from “directors” to Council positions
          b) Budget Structure is now a Program Based Budget with minimum budget given based off of members in region.
          c) USAT email blasts can contain 1/4 page newsletter from region or any special events needed to be announced
          d) USAT Social Networking pages
            1. Facebook
            2. Twitter
          e) USAT has added the Administration Assistant to the regions (paid position through the national office)
          f) FL Region Membership Numbers
            1. 10,896 at the beginning of 2009
            2. 12,688 as of September 2009
          g) Regional Numbers
             1. 178 certified races
             2. 47 certified Level 1 coaches
             3. 44 USAT  “Sanctioned” clubs
             4. 117 athletes at Nationals (second highest)

- USAT MISSION - “Encourage, support, and enhance the multisport experience in the United States”
- Council Members not elected must submit a letter of intent if they want to run for their position in 2010.
- Above said Council Members will be voted upon in January 2010 Council Chair Members can only be on 1 other committee

4. Jennifer Hutchinson (RADC Report)
                1) PowerPoint Handout
                        - Targeting 15-19 year old athletes and U23 (19-23)
                        - 2009 region held a Select Camp at Eckerd College (10 participants)
                        - 2010 Select Camp TBD (tentative Eckerd College)
                        - Youth Season typically should be run from Mid-May through September
                        - Jennifer will be looking into Draft Legal races
                        - Council will discuss on next conference call
5. Tom Reilly (report on officials)
                    1) 2009 Review
                        a) 10 Clinics
                        b) 17 New Officials
                        c) 35 Current Certified Officials
                        d) Ideal Number – 40-43 Officials
                    2) Officials Rates (paid by Race Director)
                        a) $85 per Official
                        b) $0.55 per mile traveled
                        c) $25 extra for Head Official of races over 200
                        d) Hotel room if traveling over 90 miles

6. Dave Deschenes (Youth Development)
                    1) Sub-committee Conference Call occurred Friday, November 13th
                        a) Potential 2010 Youth Races (Jacksonville Triathlon, Great Escape, Mad Beach) Points Series Races
                        b) Winners of Series to receive a cash prize to help attend nationals
                        c) Winners would be per Age Group. Total of 6 Age Groups per sex. 12 total prizes.
