Topic: Neuromuscular and Function Strength Training and Race Day Fueling with Bob Seebohar
On Sunday, May 31 Bob Seebohar will host two highly informative sessions with the first one addressing Neuromuscular and Functional Strength Training for Endurance Athletes. This educational workshop is not your typical strength training workshop. Learn the "secrets" of strength training that most athletes do not know and how to implement them into your normal routine. Emphasis will be placed on neuromuscular activation, dynamic warm-up and the three key areas for endurance athletes to focus on before moving to traditional strength training exercises. In the second workshop, Bob will discuss Race Day Fueling which will provide endurance athletes all of the essential fueling strategies needed for before, during and after racing from short to long distances. Special emphasis will be placed on fluids, electrolytes, carbohydrate, protein, fat, ergogenic aids and how to incorporate them into a race day nutrition plan to minimize GI distress and maximize performance. This is a must for any endurance athlete wanting to know more about how to fuel and hydrate their bodies for the upcoming race season.
USAT certified coaches will earn a total of 10 CEU's for attending both days of the workshop. 5 CEU's will be awarded for each day attended.
USAT certified coaches that wish to earn the CEU credit must register under the Certified Coaches fee for either the two day or one day price.
