Topic: Yoga for Athletes & Coaches with Sage Rountree

In this 4-hour workshop, athletes and coaches will learn how to make yoga a part of sports training. Sage Rountree will explain how yoga enhances athletes' strength, flexibility, balance, and focus; demystify the various types of yoga; and show how yoga can be included throughout the training cycle, from the big picture to what to do on any given day. The workshop includes both lecture and practice; come in comfortable clothes, and bring a mat or towel.
Sage Rountree, PhD, a Registered Yoga Teacher and USA Triathlon and USA Cycling certified coach, is author of The Athlete's Guide to Yoga (VeloPress, 2008) and The Athlete's Pocket Guide to Yoga (VeloPress, 2009); creator of The Athlete's Guide to Yoga DVD (Endurance Films, 2008); and a contributor to Runner's World and Yoga Journal Online. She teaches workshops on yoga for athletes nationwide. Athletes of all sports and levels-from former Olympians to professional triathletes to the UNC football team-praise her practical, straightforward teaching style. USAT coaches earn 5 CEU's for attending.
USAT certified coaches that wish to attend and earn the CEU credit must register at the Certified Coach price. If coaches wish to attend and not receive the CEU credit, then they can register at the USAT Member price.
