USA Triathlon Events

USA Triathlon will host the 2010 Junior Triathlon Festival on August 14th at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California.

2009 Results

The National Triathlon Festival features the Youth Triathlon (ages 7-15), Youth National Championship (ages 7-15), Youth Elite National Championship (ages13-15) and Junior Elite National Championship (16-19). 

The Youth Triathlon is a non-drafting race designed for all youth athletes as well as youth relay teams. The Youth National Championship is a competitive non-drafting race for youth triathletes.

The Youth Elite and Junior Elite National Championships are a draft-legal format of racing for top triathletes.

Athletes between the ages of 13 and 15 must choose between the “Youth 13-15” championship race and the “Youth Elite 13-15” championship race.  Registering for both races is not permitted.

Distances
7-10-year-olds: 100m swim, 5K bike, and 1K run
11-15-year-olds: 200m swim, 10K bike, 2K run
Youth Elites: 375m swim, 10K bike, 2.5K run
Junior Elites: 750m swim, 20K bike, 5K run
