Triathlon clubs of all sizes and nations will descend upon Mission Beach in sunny San Diego on May 12 to compete for the crown at the inagural Global Club Challenge. Age-group athletes vying for the right to be called the "best club in the world" will compete in the Olympic and Sprint distance races on Saturday morning. They can then sit-back and watch the men's elite field in the ITU World Triathlon Series Saturday afternoon.

CLUB DIVISIONS
Division I: > 50 members
Division II: 21-50
Division III: 11-20
Division IV: 5-10
Division V: 1-4

SCORING

Points will be awarded to each club for individual athletes finishing 1-10 in their respective gender and age group, as well as any additional special categories created for this event. Athletes not placing in the top-10 shall receive five participation points plus any applicable travel points (based on airline miles from club's domestic city) for completing the race.

Clubs shall be ranked within their respective club division (I-V) based on the club's aggregate performance, participation and travel points for all age groups or any specialty division that specifically apply to the Championship event(s).

AWARDS

Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place clubs per division.
Relay teams are not eligible for club competition scoring.
