The second race in the 2013 Super Sprint Series is partnered with the Super Sprint Triathlon Grand Prix on September 19, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Contested in a double super-sprint format, professional athletes will complete two continuous, non-stop circuits of the same course, each comprised of a 300-meter pool swim, 5-mile bike and 1.5-mile run.

Also designated as the USA Triathlon Elite Sprint National Championships, the Sept. 19 race in Las Vegas will air on Monday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. ET. The event, also known as the Super Sprint  Triathlon Grand Prix, will be held under the lights outside the Las Vegas Convention Center and  feature an Olympic-sized portable pool. Steve Schlanger and 2008 Olympic triathlete Julie Ertel,  who formed NBC’s triathlon broadcast team during the 2012 Olympic Games in London, will  call the action.
