Russ Pugh is the president and founder of Vineman, Inc. He began the Vineman events in 1990 at the age of 23, and has seen the events grow and evolve into what they are today. In 2009, 2100 racers attended Vineman Ironman 70.3, 800 racers for the full vineman, 350 racers for Barb’s Race, 300 AquaBikers, and 600 racers for the Vineman Showdown. Over the years, Russ has stressed that Vineman’s mission is to put on events in beautiful venues which are well supported and athlete friendly.Sanctioning Status: USAT SANCTIONED
