This webinar will describe the benefits of implementing a strength training program in a young athletes training plan. It will provide the proper program design variables that coaches need to know based on age and developmental abilities as well as providing sample exercise progressions for each developmental stage. Additionally, a brief section on injury prevention will be discussed.
Bob SeeboharBob Seebohar is a USAT Level III and Youth and Junior Certified Coach and the owner of Fuel4mance, which provides sports nutrition services to endurance athletes. He has an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science and two graduate degrees: one in Health and Exercise Science and the other in Food Science and Human Nutrition. Formerly a Sport Dietitian for the U.S. Olympic Committee and the 2008 Olympic Triathlon Sport Dietitian, Bob currently serves as the consulting sport dietitian and head strength coach for the USA Triathlon National Team as well as co-owner of Elite Multisport Coaching.
