Registration will close August 10, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time or when race registration reaches the maximum capacity

Important Registration Information

  • There are NO refunds or transfers of entries
  • Athletes MUST be annual USAT members to race
  • Athletes MUST qualify for this event - Qualification Details
  • Registration fees will not be refunded if athletes register without qualifying and are removed from the start list
  • Athletes MUST be 17 years of age by December 31, 2012 to compete.

Due to this event qualifying athletes for the 2013 Short Course (Olympic) Triathlon World Championships, athletes born during the year of 1995 will be allowed to compete in the Olympic Distance National Championship. Therefore, there will be a Female 17-19 AG and a Male 17-19 AG for this event only.

To be eligible for awards you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be a U.S. national-someone who has resided in the U.S. for three years.

Entry fee: $150.00
The race field will be limited to 2100 athletes.

*USA Triathlon reserves the right to modify race maximum numbers*

Please make sure you are qualified for the Olympic Distance National Championship by reading the qualification standards.

Athletes are allowed to race in both the Olympic distance and Sprint distance National Championship; however due to ITU rules, athletes who qualify for Worlds CANNOT compete in both the Sprint and Olympic World Championships.

‘TRI’ for the USAT Foundation

Get guaranteed entry and race the Olympic distance National Championship for a great cause, the USAT Foundation.

USAT members have always played a crucial role in helping America’s youth and paratriathletes make it to the playing field. Unlike pro and college sports that have a large spectator and alumni backing, USA Triathlon relies on donations from the private community in order to meet various program goals. These athletes aspire to a dream, whether it be attending a key event, camp, clinic or the Paralympic Games. The location and size of the activity doesn’t really matter. What does matter is USAT removing the impediments that might stand in the way of the athlete’s ability to participate and/or succeed. The funds from this specific event will go towards youth and Paratriathlon development.

 

USAT has reserved registration slots for twenty (20) athletes. Each of these athletes;

  1. Must raise a minimum of $1,000 in order to obtain to eligible to compete;
  2. Are not required to have qualified in order to compete in the Olympic Distance National Championship;
  3. Will have the opportunity to compete on Team USA for the 2013 ITU World Championships should they qualify;
  4. Must be a USAT annual member through the date of the Olympic Distance National Championship;
  5. Will have the opportunity to be named a National Champion.
