Topic: Strength Training for Endurance Performance

Presenter: Sharone Aharon

The topic of strength training in endurance sports is a controversial one. While some coaches incorporate it religiously in their program, some avoid it at all.  In the past few years, Functional Training and CrossFit have been the rising stars in strength training for triathlon whereas in the past, more conventional strength training has been the leading method. In this webinar, Elite Coach Sharone Aharon and the Owner of Well-Fit Training Center in Chicago will explain how to best incorporate strength training into your program to maximize performance.

Topic covered in this webinar:

  • “Periodization” of strength training

  • True core strength and joint stability as it applies to athletic performance

  • How to integrate strength training into your weekly routine and save time

  • Examples for exercises and progression methods for every phase

By the end of the webinar you will know the benefit of strength training for endurance athlete and how to build a year round routine for peak performance.
