Youth are the fastest growing segment of triathlon currently.  Coach Michael Harlow, 2012 USAT Developmental Coach of the Year, will explain why triathlon is the sport that all kids should be involved in and how to do so most effectively.  During this presentation, Michael will explain the youth development pipeline and the essential skills that every youth athlete should hone to find success in the sport.

Michael Harlow

Michael Harlow is the Founder and Director of Endorphin Fitness. As a USA Triathlon Level II Certified Coach and USA Triathlon Youth & Junior Certified Coach, Michael is regarded as one of the premier triathlon coaches in the country. 

Michael was awarded the 2012 Youth Developmental Coach of the Year from USA Triathlon.  He is the head coach of the Endorphin Fitness Youth Triathlon Team which includes beginner to elite athletes aged 6 to 19 from around the country.  The Endorphin Fitness Junior Elite High Performance Team finished 2012 ranked third in the country. 

Michael and his staff also coach hundreds of adult athletes through online and group coaching.  In addition, Endorphin Fitness has a 7,500 square foot training center, a full-service triathlon retail store, and produces a string of youth triathlons in the Virginia area, including the East Coast Triathlon Festival which was just held in May which included the Youth/Junior Elite Cup.
