Long Course Tri and Aquabike National Championship
USA Triathlon is proud to announce that it will partner with Rev3 South Carolina to put on the Long Course Triathlon and Aquabike National Championships. The long course event features a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run, while the aquabike race includes a 1.2-mile swim and a 56-mile bike.
Anderson, SC is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of beautiful Lake Hartwell in an area commonly known as “The Upstate”. Anderson is within a two hour drive of two major metropolitan areas – Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. Lake Hartwell, the location for the swims is one of the largest and most popular recreation lakes in the southeast, and is home to a number of state parks, public campgrounds, boat ramps and marinas. Anderson County has it all, history, heritage, cultural attractions, agri-tourism, outdoor and adventure. Whatever your interests are – you will be able to experience them in the quaint charm of a historic towns surrounded by true “Southern Hospitality”
There will not be any qualification standards for the 2013 National Championships. All athletes are able to race.
Team USA Qualification
LC Triathlon Qualification: Top 20 in each age group rolling down to 25th place after applying the age-up rule

All athletes eligible to represent the United States must:
- Be a U.S. citizen OR
- Be a U.S. national – someone who has resided in the US for three consecutive years and has not competed for their country of citizenship in the prior year.
Team USA eligible athletes must not have competed for their country of citizenship in the prior year. Athletes who choose to be recognized as nationals who have competed for their country of citizenship in the last year may get dispensation by obtaining a letter from the National Federation of their home country allowing competition as a USA athlete.
