Setting clear goals and having the commitment and discipline to execute on those goals are critical success factors for endurance athletes and triathletes. Those are also the very capabilities that business leaders need to succeed in developing and implementing strategies and goals for their organizations. Key success factors such as aspirational goal setting, commitment and discipline, planning and measuring progress, handling challenges along the way, and celebrating successes are all important to competing as an endurance athlete as well as in leading a business. In this session, participants will learn about these factors and other best practices to follow in developing and implementing business strategy.
John Cassimatis is Co-Founder and President of TayganPoint Consulting Group, a leading management consultancy focused on assisting companies with strategy development and execution and process improvement. Over the past 25 years some of the world’s leading corporations have turned to him for guidance on business strategy and improvements to critical business operations. Recognized for his extensive experience in strategy formulation and implementation, John is often called upon by senior leaders of global companies to assist with major organizational transformations.
John’s career path began at Arthur Andersen and he subsequently held executive leadership positions at Kepner-Tregoe, Ernst & Young and First Consulting Group. In 2005 he founded VantagePoint Consulting and after successfully advancing his firm, John merged with Taygan Consulting in 2009 to form TayganPoint Consulting. TayganPoint has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in New Jersey and was recently selected by Consulting News Magazine for a national award as one of their “Seven Small Jewels” for 2013.
An active contributor to his community, John has provided pro bono consulting services to numerous non-profit organizations. He is Founding President of the Hillsborough Education Foundation and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Millhill Child and Development Center and Giving Hope Network. John also sits on the New Jersey Education Foundation Advisory Board .
John is an active triathlete and has competed in a numerous olympic, half ironman, and full ironman events. He resides in Hillsborough, New Jersey with his wife Dorothy, and their three daughters, Janice, Sara, and Christine.
