How to Run a Fast 10k

In this series of training tips, I'll be talking about a couple of the basic techniques that have been used by several short and long distance champions but are often forgotten by most Elite and Age Group athletes.
Develop your sport-specific motor patterns – Repetition Training
Another great way to improve your running is by repetition. By repeating certain training sets over a number of weeks, athletes learn to: Improve motor skills: Via certain specific sessions using a flat treadmill (0% incline that helps you to move forward), you can work on increasing your stride rate thereby reducing the time spent on the ground and causing less eccentric load on your quads. You'll literally program your red meat computer to perform the way you want.
