Duathlon Nationals Entries Remain on Record Pace

RICHMOND, Va. - After having a record number of participants last year, USA Triathlon's National Duathlon Festival is on pace to surpass that total at the 2010 event, which will take place April 24-25 in Richmond, Va., for a third straight year.

The 2009 festival had a record number of approximately 1,700 participants, and Richmond's Sports Backers report 1,332 entries already confirmed for the run-bike-run event, as of March 8.

Fewer than 300 spots remain for Sunday's races, which include the Age Group National Championships, Junior Nationals and the Sport Race. However, it is not too late to secure a place on the starting line by registering online.
