Entries for Duathlon National Championship Capped at 1,200
USA Triathlon April 08, 2009
There are less than 35 openings for age group competitors wishing to register for the USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships in Richmond, Va., on April 26, organizers announced today.
Total entries were capped at 1,200 due to record-breaking registrations.
“This will be the largest USAT Age Group National Championships ever held in the U.S., and people should act now to register for it,” says Sports Backers Executive Director Jon Lugbill. “We still have openings in on-road sport and youth categories as well as in Saturday’s off-road duathlon events, so it’s a great event to share with family and friends.”
In an effort to allow for congestion-free racing on the course, the on-road age group national championship will feature fourteen different wave starts based on age. Complete information about the wave starts is included on the official event website www.duathlonnationals.com.
The National Duathlon Festival is a two-day event featuring off-road duathlon events (April 25) and on-road events (April 26).
