Inspired by 5-time XTERRA USA Champ and now cancer-stricken U.S. athlete Jamie Whitmore -- Canadians Mike Vine and Melanie McQuaid powered their way through a chilly morning and grueling course to wins at the eighth annual XTERRA USA Championship on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe on Sunday.
