USAT Aquathlon Nationals Slated for Sunday in California

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Triathlon’s 2010 Aquathlon National Championship will take place Sunday in conjunction with the San Ramon Aquathlon at the Dougherty Valley Aquatic Complex in San Ramon, Calif.
Aquathlon events usually are contested in a run-swim-run format, and Sunday’s race consists of two 1.5-mile runs sandwiched around a 1,000-meter swim. Click here to learn more about the sport of aquathlon.
In addition to national titles, event participants will be competing for a spot on Team USA for the 2010 ITU World Aquathlon Championship on Sept. 8 in Budapest, Hungary. The top 10 finishers in each age group will qualify to represent the United States on the international stage.
