USAT Aquathlon Nationals Slated for Sunday in California
Aquathlon events usually are contested in a run-swim-run format, and Sunday’s race consists of two 1.5-mile runs sandwiched around a 1,000-meter swim. Click here to learn more about the sport of aquathlon.
In addition to national titles, event participants will be competing for a spot on Team USA for the 2010 ITU World Aquathlon Championship on Sept. 8 in Budapest, Hungary. The top 10 finishers in each age group will qualify to represent the United States on the international stage.
Visit the event website for full information, and click here for a start list as of Friday. This year’s Aquathlon National Championship marks the second time in the last three years that the event has been held in California.
