Join Olympian and USA Triathlon Collegiate Recruitment Coordinator Barb Lindquist for a live chat on Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. ET, 12 p.m. MT.

barbAthletes, coaches and multisport enthusiasts can benefit from Lindquist’s experience in triathlon. Since 2009, Lindquist has worked with USA Triathlon in search of talented collegiate swimmers and runners who fit the bill to become elite athletes and Olympic hopefuls. Gwen Jorgensen, who swam and ran at the University of Wisconsin, was recruited by Lindquist in 2010 and qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games in 2011. Lindquist hosts camps and clinics for members of the Collegiate Recruitment Program and guides these potential elite athletes in their first foray into multisport.

Before helping to shape the future of the sport as a coach and mentor, Lindquist competed as a professional triathlete for 10 years. She was a member of the U.S. Olympic Triathlon Team for the 2004 Athens Olympics, where she finished ninth, and was ranked number one in the world from February 2003 through 2004. Lindquist got her start in sport as a swimmer when she was young, and competed on the U.S. National Team. She also swam collegiately at Stanford University. Lindquist was inducted into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2009 for her athletic accomplishments.
