USA Triathlon Reaches 100,000 Fans on Facebook
In celebration, USA Triathlon hosts contest, offers discount in store
USA Triathlon, the National Governing Body for triathlon and other multisport disciplines in the United States, reached the 100,000 fan milestone on Facebook on Feb. 2. Since 2008, the organization has used its Facebook page as an extension of the multisport community, offering training tips and motivation to athletes in one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
“Reaching the 100,000 milestone on Facebook serves as testimony to the popularity of our sport as well as triathletes’ strong interest in engaging with each other and, hopefully, our organization,” said USA Triathlon Marketing and Communications Director Chuck Menke. “Every day we make a concerted effort to generate unique interactions through social media that serve to inform, entertain and educate. We look forward to welcoming our next 100,000 fans.”
To celebrate 100,000 fans, USA Triathlon is holding a contest for its members and fans. Winners will be randomly selected from those who answer the question: Why do you like following USA Triathlon on Facebook? Share your reason in the comments section below, and you will be entered to win one of the following prizes. Winners will be randomly selected Feb. 8 and will be notified via email.
