October 13 Longleaf Triathlon will serve as the region's USA Triathlon 2013 Club Regional Championship.
Calling all Florida tri club members. Florida Region council members are excited to announce that the Longleaf Triathlon, to be held on Sunday, October 13, will serve as the region's USA Triathlon 2013 Club Regional Championship. The Club Championship promises to be a spirited competition. Make sure you're your club is represented. Described as "one of Tampa Bay area's premier multi-sport events," the Longleaf Triathlon will offer something for everyone with international and sprint distance triathlons plus a sprint distance duathlon. The swim begins in a large fresh water lake while part of the bicycle leg takes riders along the scenic J. B. Starkey Wilderness Park's nature trail. Runners then wind their way through the small town of Longleaf, finishing at the community's Town Hall to the well-deserved cheers of friends and family. Florida Region council members will be at their expo table on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, handing out some fantastic SWAG. So come on out to the Longleaf Town Hall at 3141 Deland Street, New Port Richey, and say hello to your USA Triathlon representatives. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Longleaf Triathlon for the 2013 Club Regional Championship.
Mandatory Bike Check-In
Bike check-in is 5:30 am - 7:30 am on race day. If you do not arrive by 7:30 am, you will not be allowed to check in your bike.
