Recap of the 2011 Midwest Regional Championship at Elkhart Lake
This past weekend, Elkhart Lake was the site of the 2011 USAT Midwest Regional Championships. The Sheboygan Press reported, “More than 1,000 athletes of all levels participated in the Elkhart Lake Triathlon, which started with a swim in Elkhart Lake, then moved on to the bicycle course on the hilly, twisty roads surrounding this resort community, and wrapping up with the run on the streets near The Osthoff. The early morning weather was a bit rainy with a few claps of thunder mixed in, but for the most part the cool conditions worked well for the competitors.”
