What is the best aspect of triathlon becoming an NCAA Emerging Sport for women?
Triathletes: Your Opportunity to Give Back. Become a USAT Official
You can give back to the sport of triathlon by becoming a certified official. USAT officials help bring fairness to races by enforcing the Competitive Rules of USA Triathlon. Here are the clinics to be held in the Midwest Region in the coming months:
Lifetime Fitness Tri in Minneapolis on July 12-13. Prospective officials attend an afternoon classroom session on Friday, July 12, then help officiate on race day, Saturday, July 13.
Omaha Triathlon on July 20 -21. Clinic Time TBA
Door County Triathlon July 20 – 21 Classroom session on Saturday, officiate on Sunday. Time and place TBA
Rev 3 Wisconsin Dells on August 10-11. Classroom session from 3 pm to 5:30 pm Saturday; officiate on Sunday.
Hy-Vee Triathlon in Des Moines, IA on August 31-Sept. 1. Clinic Time TBA
A take-home exam must be completed prior to the clinic.
Upon successful completion of the clinic, new officials then work two additional races as an apprentice. Upon satisfactory completion of these requirements, officials may be assigned to work races throughout the Midwest.

If you have good judgment and a sense of fair play, consider joining the USAT Officials program. Officials must have a strong sense of integrity, be willing to ride as a passenger on a motorcycle and for reasons of safety, weigh less than 215 pounds.
