Bike Dismount Area

(0 votes)

Race Directors ask us where they should put their "Bike Mount" and "Bike Dismount" area.  The answer is wherever you'd like.  USA Triathlon rules do not require a mount or dismount area though it is strongly suggested for larger races.

The current rule states: 7.1 Entering and Exiting. A participant must reduce cycling speed to an acceptable and safe level when exiting and entering the transition area. Failure to do so shall result in a variable time penalty.
