Southwest Region Duathlon Championship
The Orange County Duathlon, this year's USA Triathlon Southwest Region Duathlon Championship, is on Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Lake Forest, Calif. First time duathletes and veteran racers alike will enjoy the quality race that USA Triathlon Certified Race Director Bill Leach and his team provides.
The OC Duathlon is comprised of a 5k run, 40k bike and 5k run. The first and second runs are described as "fairly flat" and each follow the along same course. The bike is an out-and-back course featuring some hills to keep you honest.
The packet pickup and expo is on Friday, May 21st at the Courtyard by Marriott in Foothill Ranch from 3pm to 8pm. You can also register in person for the duathlon, relay or Saddleback 5k at that time. The OC Duathlon promises amenities including a race t-shirt, awards, free Juice it Up, good post race food and a great course for duathletes.
If you are coming from out of town and can't make the Friday packet pick-up, you can pick up your number on Saturday morning at the race site from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Parking is available directly across the street at the Mammoth Equities building.
