Volunteer Coaches Needed for USAT Youth Clinics in San Diego

(0 votes)

In preparation for USAT’s 2010 Junior Triathlon Festival on August 14-15 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif., USAT will be hosting three youth clinics at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot on June 5th, June 19th and July 17th, 2010. The three youth clinics will be lead by USAT Level II certified coach Jim Vance.   Basic skills will be presented in the 2 hour clinic sessions as athletes will be guided through swim, bike and run drills and activities.  The clinics will be open to ages 7-15.
USAT coaches are needed to volunteer at the three clinics in San Diego in the following areas:

  • Volunteer coaches needed to lead a station. (Swim, Bike or Run station)

  • Stations will consist of as many as 30 athletes for a 35 minute time period.

  • Coaches needed to support the lead coach at a swim, bike or run station.

  • Coaches who can attend all 3 clinics will be given priority, for continuity purposes.

Volunteer USAT certified coaches will satisfy their service to the sport recertification requirement by volunteering at these clinics.
Please contact Jim Vance directly if you are interested in volunteering at these youth clinics and indicate the area of preference that you would like to volunteer.
Jim Vance
Your assistance is greatly appreciated in supporting USAT’s efforts in fueling the multisport lifestyle to our youth athletes.
