Quad Cities Tri already HALF FULL

(0 votes)

The Quad Cities Triathlon is already half-way filled up. Don't wait to register as there are only 300 spots left. The race is on June 19, 2010 in Davenport, Iowa. This is the ONLY qualifying race for the 2010 Sprint World Championships in Budapest.

A message from your race director, Eric Sarno:

The 2010 Quad Cities Triathlon is half full. This year our maximum number of participants is 700. I want to make sure that you register as soon as possible if you want to do the race. I think that we should sell-out within the next month or two, so waiting until spring will be too late.

Our website continues to be updated; you can find details about the Quad Cities, Hotels, race info, maps, sponsor links...

You may be registered already, but if you know me, then you know that this won't be the last note you will get. You can verify your registration on our website as well as search for individuals that you hope to race against. I will probably not list all of the participants, but again you can do a search for various people if you know some of their info, like name, age, city, etc...

We have a Facebook page, under Quad Cities Triathlon, that has over 100 members, so this will be a good place to find more recent updates, in addition to our website, and message board. I don't know if we will see a course record in 2010, but the overall competition in every age group is stellar!

Volunteers can register on-line as well, and we can always accommodate more volunteers.

We will also have health awareness program this year as well, which we plan to hold sometime during race week in June, Details to follow.

I encourage you all to understand and recognize the warning signs of stroke. I am a stroke survivor, and I was fortunate to receive medical attention quickly, and it saved my life.

Common Signs of a potential stroke:

Sudden loss of sight, use of arms or legs, confusion, speech, severe headache.

Who is going to Worlds as a member of Team USA?

Who is going to win their age Group?

Who is going to beat their time from last year?

Who is going to do their first triathlon?

Like I always say, It's about to go down...
