Team USA was created by USA Triathlon to be a team of age group/amateurs who will best represent the United States and compete in the International Triathlon Union’s (ITU) world championships, which attracts the best athletes representing over 50 countries each year.

Worlds Teams
Each year, USAT is eligible to qualify age group teams for the International Triathlon Union's (ITU) world championships. World championship teams are fielded for Short Course Triathlon, Long Course Triathlon, Short Course Duathlon, Long Course Duathlon, Aquathlon, and Winter Triathlon. 2010 Short Course (Olympic) Triathlon
The 2010 Short Course (Olympic) Triathlon World Championship will be held in Budapest, Hungary on September 12, 2010.
2010 Long Course Triathlon
The 2010 Long Course Triathlon World Championships are set to take place on July 31-August 1, 2010 in Immenstadt, Germany.
2010 Short Course Duathlon
The 2010 Short Course Duathlon World Championship features a 10k run, 40k bike, 5k run through Edinburgh, Scotland on September 3rd-5th, 2010.
Long Course Duathlon
ITU has not announced if and when the 2010 ITU Long Course Duathlon World Championship will be held.
Winter Triathlon
The 2010 Winter Triathlon World Championship features a 6k run, 10k mountain bike, and 8k XC Skiing through Eidsvoll, Norway on February 13-14.
2010 Kona Reunion
Team USA is hosting their first ever Team USA reunion in conjunction with the 2010 Ironman World Championships on October 6-11 in Kona, Hawaii.
