USA Triathlon was the first National Governing Body (NGB) in any sport to fully integrate disabled athletes into its organizational, regulatory and competitive structures. Triathlon is the only sport – anywhere – in which disabled athletes compete side-by-side with able-bodied athletes at local, national and international levels.
