Women’s Triathlon Clinic
Triangle Multisport, with the help of Fleet Feet Sports, will hold their first ever women’s triathlon clinic series targeted towards women who are beginner triathletes in late summer or fall 2013. Well-seasoned triathletes are also welcome, and will pick up some new tips for race day and have an opportunity to practice their skills.
Through discussion, demonstration, and practice participants will learn the basic skills helpful for their first race as well as how to improve their performances. This is a free event, with all those interested in developing their triathlon skills welcome.
The clinic will include 1-4 weekly sessions with USA Triathlon certified coaches covering the swim, bike, run and a brick workout. The sessions will last anywhere from 1-4 hours depending and will include a brief discussion and workout. An explanation of the registration process and importance of USAT yearly membership as well as becoming part of the mid-Atlantic women’s commission will be reviewed in the first session or through an email.
North Carolina offers 10+ women triathlons and is showing no signs of slowing down. There are women just now attempting the sport as well as those who have done only a handful in the past few years. This type of event will help women feel confident to register, train and participate in their first triathlon in the late summer and early fall as well as set a foundation for the 2014 season.
