Off Season Strengthening Clinic Series for the Female Multisport Athlete
Saturday December 14, 2013

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Sunday, January 12, 2014

Multisport in Motion has been training triathletes for over 4 years.  We have observed that women tend to have more nagging injuries, like plantar fasciitis and illiotobial band syndrome, due to the biological nature of their flexible childbearing hips. This clinic will bring together local industry thought leaders to educate and assist the female athlete in strategies to remain injury free while also improving their ongoing performance.

Women’s Cycling Clinic

Women’s Cycling Clinic at Sportfit Lab, Herdon, VA
The USAT-MA sponsored clinic went well, despite snowy, cold conditions. Eight women attended the two-hour clinic on demystifying cycling jargon, including the anatomy of a bicycle, and basic cycling maintenance and safety. The women were engaged, commented that they'd gained new insight, and participated in some hands-on tire changing practice. The clinic was held at USAT Certified Multisport facility, Sportfit Lab in Herndon, Virginia, with Doug Baumgarten, Director, Beth Baumgarten, USAT Coach, and Richard Peck, expert mechanic and owner of the mobile maintenance business, The Bike Rover, in Sterling, Virginia.
