Midwest Clinics for USAT Officials Set
Do you have good judgment and a sense of fair play or know a friend or family member who does? Do you want to give back to the sport? Please consider the USAT Officials program. USAT officials help bring fairness to races by enforcingthe Competitive Rules of USA Triathlon.
A clinic/race practicum will be held at the following races:
Lifetime Fitness, Minneapolis, July 13 – 14
Omaha Tri, August 4-5
Prospective officials attend an afternoon classroom session on the day before the race, then help officiate on race day. A take-home exam must be completed prior to the clinic.
Upon successful completion of the clinic, new officials then work two additional races as an apprentice. Upon satisfactory completion of these requirements, officials may be assigned to work races throughout the Midwest. For complete details and a job description, click here.
Officials must have a strong sense of integrity, be willing to ride as a passenger on a motorcycle and for reasons of safety, weigh less than 215 pounds. For an application or to refer a friend or family member, contact Lucy Harr, Midwest
