COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Triathlon today opened applications for Youth Race and Club Grants, offering $50,000 in total funding to support the growth of youth triathlon and multisport events across the country.

The grants will be awarded to 17 eligible new and existing youth races and clubs, providing resources to help Race Directors and Clubs create opportunities for athletes to participate in and train for the sport.

Grants are made possible by the generosity of USA Triathlon Foundation donors. As the charitable arm of USA Triathlon, the USA Triathlon Foundation supports grants and programs that advance three philanthropic priorities: encouraging youth participation, inspiring pathways to access and inclusion, and igniting Olympic and Paralympic dreams.

“Investing in youth triathlon means investing in the future of our sport,” said USA Triathlon Youth Manager, Zoe da Silva. “These grants will help provide the resources and opportunities that help build a foundation for lifelong participation.”

To be eligible for these grants, applicants must not have received any type of grant or funding from USA Triathlon or the USA Triathlon Foundation within the past three years. This includes funding received directly from either organization. Applications that do not meet this eligibility requirement will not be considered.

USA Triathlon will offer funding for both new and existing youth races:

  • New Races: $5,000 each
  • Existing Races: $2,000 each

Race grant funding may be used toward expenses that directly support race delivery, including race equipment, permits and facility rentals, swim caps, medals, timing and other essential race-day supplies.

  • Youth Club Grants: $1,000 each

Club grants are available to support new and existing clubs with equipment and resources that directly support youth participation and training. Eligible expenses include training and swimming equipment, bike racks, racing equipment, race kits, entry-level bikes, helmets, and facility or equipment rentals.

Applications for the Youth Race and Club Grants are now open through Oct. 21. To apply and learn more, click here.
