USA TRI Elite Athletes to Race June 20-21 at WTCS Quiberon in France

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA TRI athletes are back in racing action on June 20-21 in France at the World Triathlon Championship Series Quiberon, the fourth stop of the 2026 World Triathlon Championship Series. 

Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist Gwen Jorgensen (Boulder, Colo.) and Paris 2024 Olympic Mixed Relay silver medalist Seth Rider (Germantown, Tenn.) lead the USA TRI Elite Team at the inaugural WTCS Quiberon. 

World Triathlon Championship Series medalist John Reed (Virginia Beach, Va.) will also race, along with USA TRI teammates Danielle Orie (Orchard Park, N.Y) and Gina Sereno (Madison, Wis.). 

A new venue for the WTCS, Quiberon is also the first sprint distance WTCS race of the 2026 season. Athletes will race a 750-meter, beach start swim, a 20k, four-loop bike circuit, and a 5k run on Saturday, June 20. In addition, the event will feature the first Mixed Relay competition of the season on Sunday, June 21. 

The second event in the LA28 Olympic qualification cycle, WTCS Quiberon figures to be a high-octane affair across the sprint distance course. 

Quiberon will be Jorgensen’s third WTCS of the 2026 season, with her best result a seventh-place finish at Yokohama in May.
