Champions Crowned at 2026 USA Triathlon Long Course National Championships in East Freetown, Massachusetts

EAST FREETOWN, Mass. — Athletes from around the country raced in East Freetown, Massachusetts, on June 13 for the 2026 USA Triathlon Long Course National Championships, hosted in partnership with Outsider Endurance and the Patriot Half. 

Featuring the Long Course Triathlon, Long Course Duathlon and Long Course Aquabike National Championships, the event challenged athletes on a scenic course through the rolling hills of Massachusetts. The event, located south of Boston, featured a swim in the calm waters of Long Pond, a rolling bike route with an elevation gain of 1,500 feet, and a run along farms and country roads.  

Athletes racing in the Long Course Triathlon National Championship completed a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run, and athletes racing in the Long Course Duathlon National Championship completed a 3.1-mile run, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run. Athletes racing in the Long Course Aquabike National Championship completed a 1.2-mile swim and 56-mile bike. 

Benjamin Willey (Waltham, Mass.) won the men’s overall national title in the Long Course Triathlon National Championship with a time of 4 hours, 11 minutes, and 50 seconds. Fedor Orlov (Waterford, Ct.) placed second in 4:13:57, and Nick Gough (Jefferson, Ga.) placed third in a time of 4:16:43. 

Amanda Quinlan (Manchester, N.H.) won the women’s overall national title, completing the course in a time of 4:39:41. Amanda Smrz (Montvale, N.J.) placed second overall in a time of 4:48:38, and Katherine Boy (Waterford, Ct.) placed third in a time of 4:54:01. 

Chaz Adams (Portsmouth, N.H.) placed first in the Clydesdale category in 5:24:23, and Lance Fargo (Reistertown, Md.) placed second in 5:37:36. Tom Stevenson (Maiden, Mass.) placed third in a time of 5:58:44. 

Justine Allen (Providence, R.I.) placed first in the Athena category in a time of 6:47:02. Ashley Ingram (Falmouth, Maine) placed second in a time of 6:54:23 and Cheryl Voutour (West Townsend, Mass.) placed third in a time of 7:12:06. 

In the Elite Men’s category, Zev Myerowitz (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed first in a time of 4:08:38, the fastest time of the day. On the heels of Myerowitz, Dixon Atkins (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) placed second in a time of 4:08:46. Tim Russell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) placed third in a time of 4:14:02. 

In the Elite Women’s field, Savanah Eckhardt (St. George, Utah) placed first in 4:44:11, followed closely by Ginger Reiner (Lincoln, Mass.) in a time of 4:45:44.  

Andrew Cummings (Andover, Mass.) placed first in the Para category in a time of 6:04:50. 

In the Long Course Duathlon National Championships, Noah Peduzzi (Weston, Mass.) placed first in a time of 4:07:48. Mark Furler (Hollis, N.H.) placed second in a time of 4:12:48 and Michael Clark (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed third in a time of 4:27:17. 

In the Women’s category, Karoline Muehlfellner (Dunedin, Fla.) placed first in a time of 4:52:55, followed by Jaime Torchiana (Downingtown, Pa.) in a time of 4:55:54. Caitlin Mahoney (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed third in a time of 5:07:04. 

Leslie Battle (Warwick, R.I.) won the Athena national title with a time of 8:40:09.  

In the Long Course Aquabike National Championships, Wesley Mather (Chelmsford, Mass.) placed won the overall national title with a time of 2:40:04. He was followed by Dean Phillips (Wenham, Mass.) in a time of 2:43:00, and Patrick Cooper (Ann Arbor, Mich.) in a time of 2:43:44. 

In the Women’s category, Angela Neath (Brewster, Mass.) won the national title in 2:48:12. Abbey Sundermeyer (Bridgeton, Mo.) placed second in 3:01:37 and Brooke O’Connor (Billerica, Mass.) placed third in a time of 3:05:42. 

Dale Dolan (Atascadero, Calif.) won the Clydesdale national title in 2:59:38, while Erin Byrge (Holly Ridge, N.C.) won the Athena national title with a time of 3:17:12.
