COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA TRI elite athletes head to London, England, on July 25 for the World Triathlon Championship Series London, the sixth stop of the 2026 World Triathlon Championship Series. This is the first time the event has been held in London since 2015.

Paris 2024 Olympic Mixed Relay silver medalists Taylor Knibb (Boulder, Colo.), Taylor Spivey (Redondo Beach, Calif.), Morgan Pearson (New Vernon, NJ.), and Seth Rider (Germantown, Tenn.) lead the U.S. field alongside Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist and 2014 and 2015 ITU World Triathlon London champion Gwen Jorgensen (Boulder, Colo.).

Adding to the start list are USA TRI elite athletes Gina Sereno (Madison, Wis.), Erika Ackerlund (Helena, Mt.), Chase McQueen (Columbus, Ind.), and Darr Smith (Atlanta, Ga.).

Rounding out the list are up-and-coming elite athletes Naomi Ruff (West Chicago, Ill.), the 2025 Junior Pan-American Games women’s champion, and Braxton Legg (Tampa, Fla.), who placed tenth at his inaugural World Triathlon Championship Series race, earlier this season in Yokohama.

Located on the eastern side of London, athletes will race at the ExCel Centre on a sprint distance course, marking the second sprint-distance WTCS event of the 2026 season. Athletes will complete a 750-meter swim from a pontoon start in the Royal Docks, followed by a flat, 20-kilometer bike course and a fast 5-kilometer run.

The third event of the LA28 Olympic qualification cycle, London will feature a world-class field of elite athletes from across the globe. The highly anticipated race will include reigning women’s Olympic champion Cassandre Beaugrand (FRA), Jeanne Lehair (LUX), and Beth Potter (GBR), alongside 2025 World Triathlon World Champion Matt Hauser (AUS), Miguel Hidalgo (BRA), and Alex Yee (GBR) in the men’s field.
