High School Series
USA Triathlon supports high school races and clubs across the country that give athletes the opportunity to get involved in the sport of triathlon. The goal of the USA Triathlon High School Series is to grow visibility of races across the country as well as keep athletes racing numerous times throughout the season. The Series will consist of numerous localized races across the country.

The USA Triathlon High School Series will consist of numerous localized races across the country. Each localized series will be owned and operated by the local community and supported by USA Triathlon.

- 16 Year Old Females
- 16 Year Old Males
- 17 Year Old Females
- 17 Year Old Males
- 18 Year Old Females
- 18 Year Old Males
- Non-Binary ADT1 Males and Females (Previously called PC Open)
- ADT2 Males and Females (Previously called NeuroDiverse)
Coaches and clubs in the area are responsible for scoring after every race. USA Triathlon will provide the scoring structure and parameters.
Race Directors will send results to the head scorer, one of the coaches or a group of coaches, after the race.
Series awards will be provided at the last race in the series. USA Triathlon will provide the certificates for all the awards. The coach group or race director will be responsible for printing and awarding them at the final race.

Timed Races
It is acceptable to have an untimed, non-competitive division, but there must be timing for athletes that would like to earn points and be part of the scoring of the series.
USA Triathlon must receive the timed results from the event.
Sanctioned Events
All races in the series MUST be USA Triathlon Sanctioned Events.
If an event is not sanctioned, it will not be recognized as part of the series.

Scoring and Promoting
Local clubs and coaches must be involved with scoring and promoting the series to their athletes to drive participation at series events
All races are required to follow the following scoring system. Other scoring systems will not be permitted. Their will be both and Individual and Team Performance Scoring system.
High School Triathlon
- An athlete’s top 4 finishes will count toward their series score, unless there are only 3 races included in the series, then the top 3 scores will count.
- These four scores will be added together to determine the athlete’s cumulative series score.
- Scoring by placement (per age group):
- 1st place: 50 points
- Each subsequent place receives 2 points fewer than the place ahead.
- All athletes finishing 25th place or beyond will receive 2 points.
Youth Multisport (Two Disciplines Only) (Splash and Dash, Duathlon, Aquabike, etc.)
- An athlete’s top 4 finishes will count toward their series score, unless there are only 3 races included in the series, then the top 3 scores will count.
- These four scores will be added together to determine the athlete’s cumulative series score.
- Scoring by placement (per age group):
- First place: 40 points
- Each subsequent place receives two points fewer than the place ahead
- All athletes finishing 20th place or beyond will receive two points
Teams/Clubs are ranked based on every athlete in their team in each age group category at each race in the series.
1st – 3rd place athletes in each of the age groups listed will be awarded with series certificates at the last event of the series.
The Top 3 Teams will be awarded at the final event of the series.
